Hey guys!
How was thine weekend? Mine was pretty swell. Got my haircut. Watched Christmas movies. Ran a half marathon. The usual.
Except..WHAT?! Yes, I can finally buy that t-shirt that I have forever been longing to sport. I think it’s pretty accurate.
It was tough. It was hilly. But it was worth it.
What do you think about Emily, RD, LD, HM. Think that will fly?
I’ll have a full recap on Wednesday, full of my highs, lows, and everything else you wanted and didn’t want to know about running my first half at Wolf Hollow. But for now….
LET’S TALK ABOUT FOOD!!
Who else is excited for some holiday grubbing this week?! Besides the fact that I can’t believe it’s already that time of year, I am so ready for Thanksgiving.
Since I am typing this after completing my race, and will most likely be in bed by 7:30, I thought it would be the perfect time to link back to all my great recipes already made while I binge watch a combo of ghost shows and Hallmark Christmas movies before passing up in a jar peanut butter.
Here’s some recipes to inspire any last-minute ideas for your holiday dinner for a Thanksgiving Recipe Roundup. And if you use any, that automatically qualifies me for a piece of your pumpkin pie. Send it my way, babay!!
Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes — Similar to sweet potato casserole, but without the globs of sugar and marshmallows. And you get your very own tater!
Pomegranate Cranberry Sauce — A twist on classic cranberry sauce made with chia seeds and honey. You can pretty much call this a super food.
Pumpkin Spice Pickles — Thanksgiving for me scream sweet gherkin pickles. Put a festive spin on your pickle and olive plate for the love of pumpkin!
Sinless Sour Cream Coffee Cake — Serve this up with coffee as a dessert to your dessert. I give you full permission.
Fruit & Spice Wild Rice — Spiked with dried cranberries and oranges, this wild rice is a hearty and flavorful side dish for your spread.
Caramel Apple S’mores — A fun treat to make with the kids, or around the fireplace. And invite me, because these are AMAZING!
Five Spice Roasted Sweet Potatoes –A blend of warming spices and honey give these sweets a balanced and unique flavor.
I hope these give you some inspiration, and now I am fully salivating and craving one of those s’mores.
Make it a great day!
What are your plans for Thanksgiving?
Pumpkin or Apple pie?
